The mission of Children's Ministries is to partner with parents to raise godly kids. This mission is based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9:
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
Children's Ministries at New Community Church consists of the following:
- Kids' Kingdom is our Sunday morning ministry for any child from newborn to 6th grade. Age appropriate worship and biblical teaching is offered in Kids' Kingdom during each Sunday morning service (at 9am and 11am), while students (7th grade and older) and adults worship in the Sunday services.
- AWANA is our mid-week discipleship program for children in pre-school through 5th grade. AWANA encourages children to engage in weekly bible verse memorization, while also offering worship and biblical teaching, along with the popular "game time". AWANA is held on Wednesdays from 6:15pm to 8:00pm.
- KIDZONE is our summer camp that runs for one week during the summer (usually the 2nd week in July every year). It is offered from 9am until 12:30pm for any child entering into Kindergarten to 6th grade (grades levels are based on the school year the child will be in during the fall following that summer).
