Guest Services

The vision of Guest Services is “Genuine servanthood: not one neglected, everyone connected.” The overall ministry of Guest Services is comprised of six serving teams. Each team is responsible for a particular task focused on creating a welcoming environment on Sundays:

  • TRAFFIC – The Traffic Team’s mission is “We’re not parking cars, we’re making friends!” This team gives visitors a warm first impression of New Community as a service-minded, organized church.

  • GUEST HOSTS/USHERS – Members of this team welcome everyone as they enter through New Community’s front doors and move to the Worship Center.

  • WELCOME CENTER – Members of the Welcome Center Team serve as the church’s personal connection to those with questions and in need of information. Registration for church-wide events, training sessions, etc. happens here.

  • COMMUNITY CAFÉ – This team prepares and replenishes the refreshments served at the gathering time after each Sunday service. It’s at Community Café where the real connecting takes place at NCC.

  • AUDIO TEAM – The servants on this team help to get the messages of New Community out beyond the walls. Copies of each message given by one of the pastors are duplicated and distributed after each service by the Audio Team. Messages are available in CD format at a minimal cost.
