Baptism is a beautiful and meaningful next step for someone who has chosen to follow Jesus. It is an outward, public expression of an inward faith—a way to share with your church family that you have placed your trust in Christ and desire to follow Him.

Our upcoming baptisms will take place on Sunday, August 2, and Sunday, September 13, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service at the cross by the stream. Friends, family, and the NCC congregation are invited to gather with us as we celebrate what God is doing in the lives of those being baptized.

Those planning to be baptized will complete a baptism devotional and may be contacted by one of our pastors before Baptism Sunday to talk through their testimony and answer any questions. On the day of the baptism, each person will have an opportunity to briefly share about their relationship with Jesus before being immersed in the water.

Baptism does not make someone a Christian. A person enters into a relationship with God by placing their faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is a step of obedience that follows that decision and publicly represents the forgiveness and new life we receive through Him.

Baptism is available to those who have entered into a grace-filled relationship with God through Jesus Christ and are members of New Community Church or intend to become part of the NCC church family. Students who have completed fifth grade may be baptized if they understand the meaning of baptism and have personally chosen to follow Jesus.
