The author of Hebrews has already introduced Jesus as our high priest who is: “merciful and faithful” (Heb. 2:17), able to “empathize with our weaknesses” (Heb. 4:15), and "designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek” (Heb. 5:10). We will explore the unique priestly work of Jesus and what it means for us today. Namely, Jesus gives to us a "firm and secure” hope (Heb. 6:19) and shares with us His “indestructible life” (Heb. 7:16).
