Join us this Easter at New Community Church in Wexford, PA as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Easter service includes joyful worship, prayer, and a message of hope as we remember that Jesus is making all things new.

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 5 at 8:00, 9:45, and 11:30 AM

At the end of the Bible, there is a beginning. As Scripture comes to its close, Jesus says, “Behold, I am making all things new.

That new creation began on Easter when Jesus rose from the grave.

Join us this Easter Sunday as we celebrate not only what Jesus has done, but what He is still doing! Our world, our lives, and our families are filled with hope and potential because Jesus is making all things new!

Easter Week Events

Leading up to Easter, we invite you to join us throughout Easter Week as we remember the events that led to the resurrection.

Christian Passover Seder

Saturday, March 28 at 5:30 PM

The Passover Seder is rich with meaning and deeply connected to Scripture and it’s an experience everyone should have at least once. This Christian Passover Seder invites families and individuals of all ages to gather for a meaningful, interactive evening that brings the story of Passover to life and helps deepen our understanding of Communion and the meal Jesus shared with His disciples.

Palm Sunday Services

Sunday, March 29 at 9 and 11 AM

Celebrate Palm Sunday with us as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem and begin the journey toward Easter. Join us for worship at 9:00 or 11:00 AM. Children’s ministries are offered at both services.

Maundy Thursday

Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday April 2 at 7 PM

Join us for one of our Maundy Thursday communion services as we reverently remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Services will be held at 7:00 PM on both Thursday and Friday evening, and they are identical, so you can attend whichever night works best for you. Childcare is available through preschool age.

Because Easter falls on the first Sunday of the month this year, these services will take the place of our usual first-Sunday communion.

Men's Cross the Park

Friday, April 3 at 11 AM

On Good Friday, men are invited to take part in a powerful time of reflection and discipleship through Men’s Cross the Park. Together, we will carry a wooden cross through North Park as a tangible reminder of the cross Jesus carried for us and His call to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. As the cross is passed from man to man along the route, participants will have time to reflect on the weight of the cross and what it means to follow Christ with our whole lives.

Road to Resurrection

Friday, April 3 at 12 PM

Road to Resurrection is a powerful, multisensory, family-friendly experience that walks families through the final days of Jesus’ life, from Passover to the cross and the resurrection. Guided by Scripture from the Gospels, families will journey together through interactive scenes that bring the story of Jesus to life in meaningful and unforgettable ways.

Good Friday

Friday, April 3 at 12 PM

Experience Good Friday through a personal, self-guided reflection as you move at your own pace through five Stations of the Cross. This experiential time is designed to help you pause, reflect, and remember the sacrifice of Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to RSVP?

While RSVPing is not required, it helps us prepare space for everyone attending. If you know which service you plan to attend, we’d love for you to reserve a spot using the RSVP form.

What are your services like?

Our Easter services typically last about one hour and begin with worship through music as we gather together and lift our voices in praise. After that, we’ll have an opportunity for offering. We see giving as an act of worship and gratitude to God, but if you’re visiting with us, please don’t feel any pressure to give—we’re just glad you’re here.

You’ll then hear a message from our Senior Pastor, Dr. Adam Jackley, focused on the hope of Easter and how God makes all things new through the resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Following the message, we’ll spend a moment in prayer and sing a closing song in response to what we’ve heard. Finally, we end our time together with a benediction—a fancy word for blessing—because we like to let God have the last word before we head back out into the week.

When should I arrive?

Doors to the worship center open 15 minutes before each service (8:00, 9:45, and 11:30 AM), but the main church doors and common area downstairs will be open earlier. Easter is one of our most attended Sundays, and arriving a little ahead of time helps make the morning smoother for everyone.

Am I welcome here?

Yes. You are welcome here.

At New Community Church, we believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, respect, and genuine care. You don’t need to have everything figured out before walking through our doors. Whether you have tattoos or piercings, a complicated past, questions about faith, or simply haven’t been to church in a long time, you are welcome to join us. People of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences gather here each week as we come together at the foot of the cross, where all of us are invited to know Jesus and grow in the new life He offers.

As a church, our teaching is shaped by the Bible as God’s authoritative Word, and we seek to follow it faithfully in what we believe and how we live. If you would like to learn more about those beliefs, you can read our Statement of Faith.

Are my kids able to come with me to Easter service?

We love having families worship together, and you have two options when you visit.

If you would prefer to keep your children with you during the service, that’s wonderful! We’ll have an activity table upstairs with coloring pages and other items for children. We also have a Family Room upstairs in the worship center. If you need a little extra space with your child at any point during the service, you’re welcome to step in there. A large window allows you to see and hear the service, so you won’t miss what’s happening.

You can also check your children into Kids’ Kingdom, our ministry for newborns through 5th grade. Kids’ Kingdom takes place during Sunday morning services and includes age-appropriate worship and biblical teaching.

If you’re visiting for the first time, simply stop by the Kids’ Kingdom desk to check in. Your child will receive a name tag and be shown to their classroom, and you’ll receive a matching tag to present at pickup. Each child is also assigned a four-digit security number, which will appear in the sanctuary if we need to reach you during the service. All of our Kids’ Kingdom volunteers are trained, background-checked, and committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for every child.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Some people dress up for Easter while others come in more casual clothes. You’ll see a little bit of everything, and we want you to feel comfortable.

Do you offer accessibility accommodations?

Yes. We want everyone to be able to fully participate in worship.

Our building is accessible for wheelchair users, and hearing assistance devices are available for those who are hearing impaired. If you have specific accessibility needs, please feel free to email us at general@nccinwexford.org so we can help make your visit as smooth as possible.

I don't live near New Community Church. How can I attend online?

Our service will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook at 8:00 AM for those who are unable to attend in person. A recording will also be available afterward if you’d like to watch later that day—or even revisit it sometime during the year!

I have more questions, who do I contact?

We’d love to help. If you have any other questions about Easter services or visiting New Community Church, feel free to email us at general@nccinwexford.org, and a member of our team will be happy to connect with you.

We'd love to meet you!
