What do you want?  Answered honestly, that question reveals a great deal about who we are.  As Jesus prepares for the cross in Matthew 20:17–28, his disciples are still wanting power and glory. Their request reveals a deep human longing—to matter, to be great, to have significance. But Jesus answers them with a startling truth: the path to true greatness runs through humility and service, just as it did for him.
